Introduction

The Command Line Utility of SwisSQL DBChangeManager helps you access all the features and functions of the tool using a command line interface. Following are the important functions you can perform using the utility :

• Compare any two Resources (which can be an Online Database or SQL Script file(s)) and generate a HTML Comparison Report.
• Generate Sync Script to be used for synchronizing the target Resource
• Synchronize multiple databases using the generated Sync Script.
• Get the Comparison Reports, Sync Script and the Synchronization status e-mailed to any given address at the end of the process.
• Automatically Schedule your comparison and Synchronization tasks using any standard scheduling mechanism (eg., Windows Scheduler)

Requirements and Licensing Information

• Unlike the DBChangeManager client interface which can be accessed from anywhere on the network through a web browser, the command utility can be used only from the System in which the DBChangeManager (ie server) is installed.
• You DO NOT require any other third party software to use the utility. All required libraries are bundled with the product.
• The command line utility will not be functional in the Free Edition version of the product. It will be functional only in the Evaluation and Registered versions of the product.
